Win Taylor Bowls

The Contest

It's Back! The 2nd Annual running of the contest will run throughout the 2013 outdoor and indoor bowls season. In a nutshell... to have a chance to win, pick the winners of various events we list throughout the summer (ie. Ontario Finals - 16 Districts competing in each event, Canadian Finals and others as recommended by you and as approved by the Contest Committee). The Final Draw for the Grand Prize will be made after the Cdn Indoor Championships and the results will be posted in this forum. So far it looks like there will be 13 events to play in this year... check the forum for details!

Eligibility

Contest entrants need not be residents of Canada but just be registrants of this forum. Prizes will only be shipped to a Canadian address. Only one entry per person per stage will be allowed so make your choices wisely! Entrants can win multiple stages thus increasing their chances of winning the grand prize.

How to Enter

Well, first you must be a member of our forum... it's free and it's easy... just click on MVP Login in the menu above if you're not already a member.
You must then post your entries in our forum as we will not be accepting entries by any other means, not by phone, by letter or by email... just in our forum.
Simply post your entries in the appropriate forum thread we set up and we'll do the rest. We will then post the names of the winners at the end of each event in the Contest Winners thread.
Complete details for each event will be listed in specific threads to each event in the forum.

How to Win

There will be a small prize awarded to the winner of each stage.
The Stage Winner will be declared by:
• Everyone makes their choices based on G-S-B... (That's Gold, Silver & Bronze!)
• The winner of the stage would then be chosen based on the most number of medalists in their picks
• If there is a tie it will come down to the most number of correct placings within their medalists...
• If there is a tie at this point it will come down to the higher rank of the medalists (ie. 2 golds and a silver beats 1 gold and 2 silver)
• If there is still a tie the tiebreaker would then come from the next best finishes of their eliminated teams...
• After that if it is still tied then it would be a straight random draw from those still in contention.

The names of the winners of each stage of this contest will be placed in the final draw for a set of Taylor Bowls!. The more stages you win the better your odds are of winning the grand prize! This also means that if you didn't get a chance to enter during the first few event stages you can still play later in the season and have a chance to win! That's what makes this better than most hockey or football pools. You can miss a week or two and still have a chance to win the Grand Prize!

Prizes

Stage Winners
All Stage Winners will have their names put in a draw for a chance to win the season ending Grand Prize!
Each Stage Winner will have their choice of a wee Stage Prize that they can receive at the end of that Stage win or they can accept an MVP Sports $10 gift certificate. If they are brimming with confidence they can collect a number of these certificates throughout the season's Pool and use towards a larger item from our Stock.
The Grand Prize
The number of entrants will determine the model of bowl being offered as the Grand Prize. A low number (fewer than 50) and we will put up a set of Legacy or Lignoid bowls. If we get to more than 50 participants per stage towards the end of this pool then we will immediately bump the Grand Prize up to a set of Colour International or ACE bowls! There is no cash value offered in lieu of prizes.

Soooo... talk it up with your fellow bowlers and get them involved! It's easy and it should be a lot of fun once the banter starts in the threads!
